Why is my TV not reading my HDMI?
Turn off all the devices. Disconnect the HDMI cable from the HDMI Input terminal on the TV. Disconnect the HDMI cable from the HDMI Output terminal on the connected device. If the issue continues, repeat the process but try a different HDMI input on your TV to see if this improves the situation.

How does an AV receiver work on a Yamaha TV?
The AV receiver plugs in to HDMI 4 on the one connect box with all sources plugging into the Yamaha and that doing all the switching of the picture and sound. The receiver is set to pass through and the HDMI handshakes with the TV and plays the video.

When I turned my system today my TV was not seeing any input from HDMI 1 on the V685. I tried another cable, and I tried a different HDMI port on the TV but neither one helped. I then switched the cable over to HDMI 2 output on the V685 and selected HDMI 2 as the output source. I still could not get any signal on the TV.
Why does my Yamaha receiver not work with my TV?
It’s not the TV (it’s fine), not the cables (they’re fine), and when I connect a source through the receiver using component cables (and component cables to the tv) it works fine. Therefore, I know it’s a problem with the receiver and specifically something to do with the HDMI-out (all sources on the HDMI-ins give “no signal” on the tv).
Why is my AV receiver not connecting to my TV?
If so, that pretty much indicates that the link from the receiver to the TV is OK. Also, if your receiver has a special function to select which HDMI input to use for each source (like HDMI 1 for Blu Ray, etc.), did you check to see if that got reset somehow? Let us know if this doesn’t work.
