Why does my Yamaha AVR say HDMI out?
The normally-steady red message on the Yamaha, which says: “HDMI out” flickers, trying to hint that smoething is wrong. The ONLY way I know to restore normal function is to unplug the HDMI cable from the HDMI out port of the Yamaha AVR, wait about 20 seconds, and then plug the cable back in.

Why did my Yamaha receiver die after power outage?

Push the power button, MAIN appear and then turn off. The Service manual talk about updating Firmware but I never found any RXV471-xxxx.bin file anywhere on the internet. Hold TONE CONTROL + INFO + POWER Buttons. Scroll all Main and Sub-Menus. Everything is ok.
