What kind of audio does the Denon avr-391 decode?
What is really cool is that the AVR-391 will be able decode HD audio such as DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD natively. This is incredibly huge at this price point. For those that are in to the audio side of things, Denon hasn’t left you hanging. The amps in the AVR-391 are fully discrete and sport 75 watts per channel.
Why does my Denon AVR not work on my TV?
If you have Dolby Digital set to ON on the cable box, but your TV cannot accept Dolby Digital audio (many cannot), there will be no audio passed to the TV, rather you would have to set Dolby Digital to OFF on the cable box. Why is my Denon HDMI audio passthrough not working?
Audio passthrough doesn’t work when the avr is in standby mode. If you have Dolby Digital set to ON on the cable box, but your TV cannot accept Dolby Digital audio (many cannot), there will be no audio passed to the TV, rather you would have to set Dolby Digital to OFF on the cable box.
Why is Denon avr-x500 not in Prot mode?
Disconnected the power supply to Amp Board. Then it stopped going to prot mode. So, removed the micro control PCB from top, and then the amplifier PCB from bottom. Since a free service manual was not available in the web, requested party to get it from abroad (Gulf) where he was working.

Can you use the remote on a Denon 391?
The remote on the Denon 391 will also work. However, this is ONLY for watching videos on the iPod, there is no on-screen menu option for the TV for browsing your iPod library, even as the 391 manual suggests in its pictures. I confirmed this with Denon tech support.
Can a asd-11r be used with a Denon 391?
The ASD-11R iPod docking station can still be used with the AVR-391 using the S-Video into the receiver then component video out on the receiver to the TV. The remote on the Denon 391 will also work.
