What height should my front speakers be?
Audyssey recommends that the wide speakers be placed at head level when seated. The height speaker channels should be placed in the upper left/right corners of the front stage. Typically, this will be 40-45 degrees off-axis and about 8 feet in height.
Why do I need to set my speakers to small?
This setting actually has nothing to do with the size of the speakers, and everything to do with the range of the speakers. This setting determines when low frequencies are diverted from your front speakers and into your subwoofer (the crossover frequency). What happens when I set my speaker to small?
The large setting on a receiver doesn’t filter any low frequencies from a speaker to the sub. If the speaker isn’t capable of the really low frequencies, they simply will be lost. Set to “small,” however, these low frequencies will be filtered out and passed to the subwoofer, which is capable of reproducing them.
Why is the sound not coming out of my speakers?
This means, if the volume is turned down in Windows, it doesn’t matter how high you turn the volume knob on the speakers themselves, the speakers simply will not produce sound. Therefore, it’s very important you verify that all the sound channels are turned up.
