Is the Yamaha CD S300 a good CD player?
As for the CD-S300, I can’t find any reviews, except by customers. But customers love the CD-S300, rating it 4.5+ stars/5 everywhere I have looked. #4 Front 242 Addict likes this. I bought the S300 last year and I’ve found it excellent. It plays anything you throw at it and it’s particularly good with scratched CDs.
Why does my Yamaha CD player say unsupport?
It seems to display LOADING for a bit longer than usual and then goes to the UNSUPPORT message and won’t play the CD. I can’t hear any noise so I’m assuming that the disc is not spinning. Switching to the USB mode and then back to the CD mode doesn’t work – it then displays NO DISC.

The Yamaha CD-S700 is part of a new series of ultra high grade stereo audio components. Similar to the CDS-1000, the front panel is fabricated from machined aluminum, and incorporates high-grade hand selected parts for a difference in sound that you can easily hear.
Why does my Marantz CD S700 make a clicking noise?
Well, my CD-S700 (just like the two Marantz SA8005 players I tried before it) turned out to be defective. It has trouble reading discs intermittently and when it has trouble and finally reads the disc, it makes a mechanical click noise, a louder noise than I have heard any CD player make.
