Is the Marantz 2325 a good sound system?
My Marantz 2325 has been the work house of my sound system for nearly 40 years – my closest and most trusted friend. Marantz 2325 – there is very little on the market today, at virtually any price, that will give the pure warm sound of the 2325.

Model marantz 3300 is a Control Stereo Console. It has RCA hookups for tape 1,2, Phono 1,2 I dont think the 3300 can run without the 250. never tried it. Okay perfect. Does the subwoofer have a single RCA input for LFE, or does it have RCA Left and Right Inputs?
What was the Marantz tuner in the 70’s?
I have early 70’s Marantz 3300 preamp and Marantz 250 amp and 115 B Marantz Tuner. The back of the 3300 preamp has a center channel with a single RCA out put and volume control control knob. Can I hook the sub woofer to that?
How does a Marantz receiver work with speakers?
The receivers had a protection relay between the amp outputs and the speaker terminals. When the power switch was pushed there was initially no output to the speakers. After the power amp was on for about 2 seconds the relay switched on and the speakers were heard.

In my collection I have among other a Sansui 9090, a Pioneer 1280 and a Marantz 2325. In a nutshell, love them all. They all have their strengths and weeknesses. They do kick the butt of all Best Buy sold junk and so called digital Receivers I have heard.

By the mid-’70s, Harman-Kardon, Sansui, and several others offered some very good products. To generalize, my experience suggests the ’75-’80 period offers the best of the later (meaning solid state) vintage electronics. I had many of this receivers back in the 70s, the best to my knowledge was a 2325 which had a great amp/preamp section.

Came out in 1971, last made in 1975. Back in the the late 70s I bought a new Marantz 2265B receiver. Though it said Marantz, it was made by Superscope. Still a nice receiver though.
