How many video inputs does the Denon avr-1909 have?
Unlike some other receivers in this price range, analog video is still fully supported on the Denon AVR-1909. It includes three component video inputs, along with four AV inputs with S-Video (and one additional AV input on front that lacks S-Video).
How to use Denon arc on a TV?
Select “TV AUDIO” from the input source select buttons on the remote control or the receiver. You should now be able to output the TV audio through your AV receiver. Note: To use ARC you must turn on HDMI control in the menu of the receiver, as well as the TV.
Why does my avr-1909 have no audio output?

Yes, Denon’s run hotter – – at least in my experience. Noticeably so. I’ve had Pioneer Elite and Yamaha AVR’s and they are considerably cooler. I solved the problem by buying a couple of AC Infinity fans and the Thermostat (USB also with plug adaptor) to keep the unit cool.

It is sturdily built and there are numerous bells and whistles to admire, including 1080p upscaling, bi-amping of your front speakers (when using a 5.1 surround system) and onboard decoding of high-definition audio codecs (DTS-HD Master Audio included).

Where are the buttons on the Denon remote?
The more AV receiver-centric buttons are actually located on the back of the remote, under a flip-down panel. We’d highly recommend ditching the included clicker for a quality universal remote. There’s also a second, smaller remote included, which is less confusing but is too limited to be your main clicker.

To aid set-up, the Denon uses an Audyssey auto-calibration system that caters for six listening positions. Sitting through the set-up and moving the mic around can be laborious, but it pays in the long run, especially if the whole family like to get involved.
