- Use a format that the CD player recognizes.
- Drench a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol.
- Angle the cotton swab so it can reach the CD player’s laser eye.
- Blot the laser eye with the dry end of the cotton swab until the alcohol residue is gone.

Why does my CD player say no disc?
If the laser has failed, then it will not be able to detect a CD and therefore the error message appears. I normally do two things when this happens. I normally clean the lens just in case there is dust on it obstructing the laser path. If cleaning the lens does not solve the problem then I make sure the laser is working.

Can you play a CD on a Bose radio?
