How do I reset my Yamaha RX V775?

Why does my Yamaha RX v675 have no sound?

Hi, one of these just landed on my bench, with the same symptoms. Fault turned out to be a bad NJM7805FA regulator, which was showing 0.7 volts on the +5VD2 output. The regulator tested ok when supplied externally, but the output fell under moderate load.

A full reset is pretty painful to do unless you can reload your settings from some known-good ones you previously saved (not familiar with your Yamaha model, save the settings you have now regardless, if you can). But I guess it couldn’t hurt to reset, because a warranty repair (if that’s what is eventually needed) would do that anyway.
How can I Reset my Yamaha 775 AVR?
Resetting on the Advanced Setup menu is the only “reset” option, but… You could try turning OFF the Network Standby option, powering down the AVR, then powering it up. My 775 used to have problems streaming Pandora until I did this.
